I’m not happy about this. I will come back and add in the links.)Scoble: How I read a thousand blogs a dayI’m really honored to be here in front of people I read and really like. People kept going up to me and telling me I’m crazy. How do you read a thousand things a night. They want to see how I do it. On Channel 9 they ask if I can do a video. I want to talk about some of the trends in blogging, and …

The Bulletin Podcasting article (from: SplaTT’s Blog)

Wednesday, February 16th, 2005

http://www.splatt.com.au/blog/archives/2005/02/the_bulletin_po.html As i mentioned a couple of days ago, both Cam and I got interviewed by Joshua Gliddon from The Bulletin for an article on podcasting. Well…the other day they sent a photographer around and we did a photo shoot for it as well..and today…the story is out :) Not only can you get to read a two page spread about podcasting in Australia’s premier businesss magazine, but you also get to feast your eyes on a photo of me out on the street at my local shopping area, with my laptop…a set of studio headphones and a serious studio microphone. They figured that would look better than a photo of me at home with my $50 Altes Lansing headset with built …

Always rubbing people the wrong way…. (from: RatcliffeBlog—Mitch’s Open Notebook)

Wednesday, February 16th, 2005

http://www.ratcliffeblog.com/archives/000614.html Apparently, I was too hard on Adam Curry during my appearance on WebTalk Radio last weekend (WinMedia; Real; MP3). I was having some fun at the expense of the legend of the invention of podcasting, which involves a lot of credit being attributed to Curry and Dave Winer when, in fact, it was the result of a lot of incremental changes in production, hosting and syndication tools. Listeners objected, Rob Greenlee has this to say:On this weeks show Mitch Ratcliffe was harsh on Adam Curry and podcasting, his bigger points are logical and make sense. To Adam Curry’s credit he has encouraged people to be creative and has spread the word. This is not the whole story about Podcasting though. …

Rose garden (from: The Doc Searls Weblog)

Wednesday, February 16th, 2005

http://doc.weblogs.com/2005/02/15#roseGarden A few minutes ago, at 11:30pm local (Eastern) time, I got back in my hotel room here in Boston, punched up Channel 2 (WGBH, the PBS station), and was greeted by Charlie Rose introducing Ana Marie Cox, Andrew Sullivan, Glen Reynolds and Joe Trippi, talking about blogs. And it’s a great show. Since most of ya’ll are West of here, there may still be a chance to catch it. What you get, I think, even better than one does on their blogs, is that these are all interesting and likeable people. I see Glen is watching too.Not many names being mentioned… Glen just credited Technorati as a source… Podcasting just came up…. and now it’s over. Related…

Our first real press hits the streets! (from: Cameron Reilly)

Wednesday, February 16th, 2005

http://reilly.typepad.com/cameronreilly/2005/02/we_get_our_firs.html Okay so Joshua refers to me as "Cameron O’Reilly", who is someone who really exists, he used to be Belinda’s boss when she was still working for a newspaper, and he is a media magnate in his own right, and he calls Buzz Bruggeman the "boss of Bloggers Inc", but anyway you cut it, this is out first real press, in a real magazine, and The Bulletin no less. Check it out. Some of my favourite quotes:“I guess we’re stuck with thename for a while,” says Stanic, a former advertising executive andself-described tech evangelist. “But what else are we going to call it?Disintermediated audio on demand?” He grins. “That doesn’t have much ofa ring to it!”Who knew Mick had a …

Podcasting: Now I get it… (from: Mobile Weblog)

Wednesday, February 16th, 2005

http://blog.mobilizedsoftware.com/archives/002223.html Robert Scoble posts an entry with a link to his keynote from the Blog Business Summit. It is a little over an hour long, and today I just did not have time to spend listening. I am doing work that really needs my undivided attention. So, I usually take a walk mid day to clear my head, so I downloaded the MP#, and then rather than listening to music during my walk, I listened to Robert’s keynote. It was very interesting, and important reading for anyone who plans to blog related to their occupation. I must say that I already was a fan of Scoble, and this does nothing but add to that admiration. …
