Blogging a Conference (from: Buzz Marketing with Blogs)

Sitting here in the Blog Business Summit, it’s funny to listen to all the typing going on in the room. It isn’t deafening, but it’s like having a light rain going on in the room during every talk.
I’m a little torn about the value of blogging a conference during the sessions. Certainly I find it difficult to write a post and really listen to a speaker at the same time (there are limits to my ability to multi-task), so it’s distracting. As well, I think it’s almost unfair to the speaker, that there is a backdoor conversation going on that they necessarily can’t take part in, much less be aware of.
I wonder how many blog posts get written that would have been more valuable as questions or comments directed to the speaker? Don’t get me wrong, blogging a conference is perfectly valid. I’m just wondering about the timing of it.
I’m finding blog posts from Tris Hussey, D.L. Byron, Debbie Weil, Pete Blackshaw, Renee Blodgett, Seed Wiki, and Darren Barefoot.
