2.5 million Spaces created since moving out of Beta (from: Feedster on: Scoble)

Yes that’s right, Spaces has lept from 4.5 million to 7 million Spaces in the space (pun? ) of 2 weeks. It was clear that some serious growth had occured thanks to a posting by Robert Scoble. Well done to the Spaces dev team for all their hard work, and well done to Paul for having the sharp eyes!

MSN sees over 7M ‘Spaces’ created!

Mike Torres links to Walt Mossberg’s review which broke some news that has been hushed about in the last week. Namely that MSN has reached the 7M spaces created mark! This explosive growth is on track to put MSN in the lead in the new "Blogger Wars" (ugh).

To anyone who has been reading this blog; this is not a surprise. Exciting times ahead! Is it possible MSN is out Googling Google here? They went ahead and purchased Blogger, picking up some 6M blogs in the process…but they haven’t -as yet- integrated it too deeply into their collection of services. I’ve said it before; MSN’s advantage vs. Google is in the breadth of services MSN has available to cross-integrate.

Microsoft says it already has more than seven million blogs in Spaces, and is adding new ones at a rate of over 100,000 a day.

My verdict: MSN Spaces is very well done. It makes it easy to create a simple, attractive blog with text, links and photos, and to customize the blog in interesting ways.

Still, MSN Spaces is a good, basic blogging service that I can recommend to any novice blogger.
