Reuters in NYC invited a bunch of bloggers over yesterday evening for a Newsmaker debate: Blogs - holding the media to account or unaccountable?
Yes the lines between bloggers and journalists are blurring, but what is becoming clear is the difference between content and information. Content can be anything from a novel to a video game, its just stuff that interests us. Information is power and power brings money and influence, I’m publishing information on this blog about cutting edge technology and it’s getting noticed.
The political bloggers were on the panel last night, but the tech bloggers were in attendance, blogging exists thanks to the magic of software and networked systems.
