In the last couple of days, I’ve been posting a lot about the need to be deliberate in designing service contracts. I believe in that very strongly, and I don’t think it will change if you are adopting Indigo in order to build interoperable Web services. If you are adopting Indigo for some other reason, like Windows-only cross-machine process communication using named pipes, for instance, feel free to ignore my view which really doesn’t apply. It’s clear from everything coming out of Indigo day at VSLive and the latest paper at MSDN, that Indigo is going to rock! I’m sure that will make it even harder for me to win this argument.
That said, you can count on me to focus on contract first development, even with Indigo. Hopefully they’ve tooled to support that approach as much as the code-first approach. We’ll see. Either way, I’m sure this is the WS kit I’ve been longing for. I can hear Don chuckling from here.
