You might not know this, but Chris Pirillo RAVES about Maxthon. I noticed that they just started blogging too. It’s a little too PR happy for me. I’d like to see tips on how to get more productivity out of it. Maybe some point-by-point comparisons to other browsers. I’d like to know what they are jealous of in Firefox, for instance.
Chris Pirillo’s favorite browser company is blogging

Perhaps you are right Robert, we are just so happy for the recent developments that it is difficult to hide. But we are definately going to share productivity tips, ideas and what keeps us awake at night. We will definately let you know what we are jealous in Firefox as well;)

I’ll check it out. I’m never biased when it comes to software, let the superior product win!

I really don’t like it, what I love about firefox, that companies don’t seem to see, is that the UI is extremly minamilistic.
In firefox, I literally have a one line UI thanks to my mouse having back and forth buttons.

I used Maxthon until Firefox came around. It’s much better than plain IE, but IE stability issues killed any chance I’d stick with it when Firefox arrived. Firefox has it’s share of issues but compared to IE, it’s a Godsend.

Maxthon is just Internet Explorer with a new UI. Hell will freeze over before I trust IE with anything.

I’ve been using Maxthon since around the time they changed the name from MyIE2.
It’s a great product with a great set of (ever-growing) features.
It does feel a bit like a “power user” browser, though. It has a lot of functionality and a lot of customizeability. This can overwhelm some people.
Stefan - that doesn’t look like Firefox’s default UI layout though, unless it’s changed since I last saw it. You could easily make Maxthon look exactly the same.

I could easily turn off the middle two toolbars and have something much more like your screenshot. But I actually use those sometimes, despite the 8 button mouse

Real geeks don’t use IE, so therefore anyone who uses IE or any IE-based browsers are NOT geeks. Yes, I said it: YOU’RE NOT A GEEK IF YOU USE IE!
