It’s weird that I’m on the cover of this. But very honored. Joe Wikert, executive at Wiley book publishers, has an interview with the publisher. I haven’t seen the first issue yet, will give a review when I get the first copy.

Oh come on, Robert! It would only be truly weird if you had not posed for the picture on the cover and it appeared on news stands totally unbeknownst to you!
Congrats!

At first glance, I thought this was a late April 1st joke. But there’s seriously a publication like this?
Wow.
The world has taken a strange turn while I was off doing other things.

Well, I’ll subscribe to the RSS feed, not to the paper feed.

Paper is a renewable resource, whereas whatever gets consumed to produce the electricty to transmits the electronic version is overwhelmingly not….. I will go ahead and pick up the paper version. Cheers!

Chris: you forget it takes a lot of energy to make paper, print stuff on it (make the ink, too) and transport it.

I love print mags… Maxim, PC World, Time Out… This one adds to my subscriptions.

Ah, convergence! Whatever is good for podcasting, suits me. It’ll be interesting to see how the blog/podcast world translates into print. Will they offer a free trial period, before they start charging? Will they be entirely ad-based at the start, to build up subscribers… then sell to Conde Nast? Will they have “donate” messages sprinkled throughout? Ads in the center of the articles? What’s the magazine equivalent of podfading? Mag-fading? Pub-fading? Will updating the mag with continuously fresh content prove a challenge? Will the conundrums of long-term podcasting also vex this publication? Can’t wait to find out!

Congrats Robert!
It is at least a little ironic that this is a paper magazine on this particular topic.

A Magazine for Bloggers Will Either Be a Screaming Success or a Total Dud
I read today on Scobleizer about the new Blogger and Podcaster magazine.
You can subscribe to its twelve annual issues in one of three ways:
Online with “magazine-esque” technology.
Via Podcast
In print
The print edition costs $79 per ye…
Very cool Robert. Now the question is … which version I’d actually “read” - podcast, paper or online? hmm…

I like the idea of crossovers between online and print media. I still prefer to sit in my lounge chair with a print magazine than to read words off a screen in a “work” chair at a “work” desk.
Congratulations on the cover, Robert!

Some magazine. So far I’ve received TWO SPAMS from them on email accounts, one that I don’t even use.
What kind of magazine spams to get readers?
