Bianca cooking in my kitchen

by on July 3, 2006

Jemil Johnson and his family made awesome food yesterday for our BBQ. They are from New Orleans. Maryam has hired them a few times for various events. How did Maryam find him? Word of mouth. They did a BBQ at her work. 206-251-8267 is his phone number if you’d like to hire him. He doesn’t have a Web site yet, but we’ll work on that.

One of the fun things yesterday was when Amazon employee Jeff Barr’s daughter, Bianca, got in the kitchen and helped out. She has her own cooking video blog. Maryam says that they should do a cooking show together. Wouldn’t that be a trip?

I wish I filmed it, but it’s one of those small things in life that just are special when you’re there, not really meant to be shared with others. Heheh. Unless a blogger is around.

Anyway, BiancaVision is Bianca’s video blog where she shares her love of cooking. I wish she did it more.

This good food is getting me to brainstorm. There’s a whole lot of content that would be awesome for portable devices. Cooking shows. Traveling shows. Etc.

  • Will you survive without Microsoft? I love your blog, but I skip all post not related to MS. What content are you going to add in your new job? Who may substitute you?

  • Wait until the Geocachers link up with podcasting...

"Go to 38:40:02N, 76:31:49W and then push 'Episode 1'"

"Episode 1--Ok, you see the big tree next to the abandoned trash can--go behind there, get the new coordinates, and then play Episode 2"

Talk about wild goose chases....You could have some wicked treasure hunts
  • Al: I have friends all over the world in the tech industry. Did you miss that I had lunch with Sun Microsystems' CEO the week before I quit? I'm sure I'll find SOMETHING that you'd find interesting. If not, you'll unsubscribe. :-)
  • Robert: Yes I miss that one. Really like MS and always use your blog to know what MS is cooking.
So you are telling us that YOU quit after talking to SUN. Does this mean that in 1 year from the day you quit, you'll be releasing a new job change?

  • Hey, thanks for turning me on to, "BiancaVision" very cute.
  • Al: I made my final decision after I had lunch with Jonathan, yes.

I have no idea what the future holds for my career. I'm going to focus all my energies on helping people make great content for PodTech.

I have more than 2,000 business cards from people all over the world. I'm sure I'll find SOMETHING interesting to tell you. Even from inside Microsoft.

  • Sorry, pressed enter and the post was posted again, please delete. 2,000 cards and a good reputation. Thank you for keeping me interested. :-)

    Cheers

  • She uses ourmedia to host her files. The barriers to entry don't exist anymore. Untapped talent needs a free blog account and ourmedia.org to showcase their talent.
  • That geocaching idea is neat. Imagine one for golf courses, as you stand on green 9, a little video appears of Tiger Woods and the shot he played at that hole. Where to aim. Which club. Rich bastards would buy that in an instant.
  • How about a device that hooks into your car GPS thingy, as you drive past places it shows you an advert. So say your looking for some good food, you hit the food icon, then as you drive past a small town a 'ping' happens and you stop, hit play and Ol' Mama's Home Cookin' streams from YouTube (or ScobleTube) and your mouth waters and you end up spend $1,000,000 on cookies.

    +1 Scoble, keep it rocking
  • As a "foodaphile" ;-) thanks for the link to the video blog. Very cool!
  • Okay, so I thought the whole cooking blog was so cool added a new blogs link category on my site call Fun Blogs and hers is the first link. Thanks again.... now I have a sudden craving to eat! ;-)
