Looking back at E3 conference
I missed all the video game hoohaw that happened over the past couple of weeks (the E3 conference happened the week my mom went into the hospital). But, that's what's nice about RSS. It's all there waiting for you when you get back. I just was looking at Major Nelson's blog (he works on the Xbox team) and he has a ton of videos and podcasts and other things from the E3 conference.

Hope you saw a few things exciting, looks like to be an exciting year in games, no matter which platform you like. Although, I didn’t see enough to make me shell out for a PS3, and Nintendo and its new controller I will have to pass on.

The Live Anywhere demos that they were showing were really cool.
Did you happen to see the blogger bus? It was awsome. They invited members of the blogging community and game sites - the bus was outside the E3 convention and offered free internet and wireless. Developers stopped by, showed demos. A lot of great conversations going on among bloggers. And the folks at Xbox’s Gamerscore blog were there (John, Tony and Cesar) to answer questions. That’s how it should be done!
They talk about it more here:

Here’s an executive summary: MS showed a pretty good games lineup, but very little Halo 3 and even less Forza 2 (I’d read somewhere F2 would be shown in depth). Nintendo showed a smaller gamecube with a pretty cool bundled remote that, if it catches on, will soon be copied by 3rd party control makers across the consoles where patents allow. Speaking of that, the PS3 got rid of the sex toy controller, added Wii-like motion sensing to a DualShock, and produced a very expensive console. They backed themselves into a corner with not being able to delay any more (still sparse dev kits, bad chip yields so far), but I read (probably same place where I read Forza 2 would be heavily shown) that Kutaragi wanted to charge even more!

Seems to me what everybody WAS interested in was the Nintendo Wii. Oh, and we laughed at Sony. How we laughed.
