please send me stuff…
by: bubba murarka
I was iming with a friend (couldn't confirm he was okay with me naming him) and he noted that scoble and I are pretty different types of bloggers. Not a bad or a good thing, just sort of a fact. I think he best said it with the following:
Scoble is a like a mini-newspaper. That's why many folks read his blog. Links to interesting stuff going in tech mixed with some MSFT propaganda
I like being me, but thought it was a good point and I decided to try and post some more links in addition to my long stories. Got any? Send them to me at bubbam@microsoft.com. I won't post everything, but I'll try to read it all!
Oh, if you work for MSFT in the valley and have a blog, let me know…I want to post links to them as a follow up to last night's long post.
Updated: added by-line.

You should do a post about Paul Thurrott’s latest review of Windows Vista:
http://www.winsupersite.com/reviews/winvista_5308_05.asp
Paul is a Windows fan and he writes very thoughtful reviews so this one is especially worthy of note. Most of us haven’t ever used Vista or even seen it in person, but because of stuff like this we’re starting to get a bad feeling about Microsoft’s biggest launch.
Write about Vista - that’s what we want to know about! A Microsoft blog should be about this stuff rather than overblogged, cliched stuff like “information overload” or the pursuit of “happiness”.

Bubba, it will be great if somewhere on the top of at the end of the post you write who made the post. It can get confussion at times specially for fast readers :)

HA, I wanted to email you exactly the same observation myself. Your friend has used the perfect words to differentiate your style to Scob’s style (minit newspaper) actually, not that one is better than the other…. Anyway, for regular daily reader of Scobliezer, the change is much too obvious and clear.

Another vote for post about the Thurrott review.

#4 - I agree it’s confussing.

I don’t think it counts if you just issue a blanket request for links from other people, Scobes. The idea is that you’ve consciously decided to blog something you found interesting throughout the course of your day. Nice try though.

Are Super Bloggers Just Efficient One Wo/Man Newspapers?
This is an interesting point of view. Scoble is a newspaper. Bubba is the current editor and people don’t like changes on the editorial board. Scoble has a guest blogger named Bubba. Bubba posts with a comment on how someone said:Scoble is a like a mi…

Tejas & Lautreamont - I’ll update the previous posts and also remember to include “by: bubba murarka” on the future ones. I had been doing this on all my earlier posts but I totally forgot about that yesterday!

You should post more about Speech Server and the new Speech Server 2007 announcement. That plus Vista will open up a lot of doors for speech developers. It’s a growing field.
You could mention that GotSpeech.Net is the only community devoted to Speech Server anywhere on the Internet.
