Ross announces DCamp
Developers and Designers party together at DCamp.
I wonder if they'll talk about Microsoft's Expression Interactive Designer (aka Sparkle) there? That's what I always think about when I hear about developers and designers getting together.

Hey Robert,
You may want to give credit to the brilliant, young woman who is actually putting this together (Ross is only providing the space), Rashmi.

Talk about Sparkle? Nah, they’ll probably talk about Ajax, Dreamweaver or something that has some potential usage. Talking about the current state of Microsoft tools is like wearing hand me down clothing. It might fit but it tends to be worn and threadbare.

With a name like Microsoft Interactive Expression Designer, it will never catch on.

We will take about whatever people propose (hint! hint! - go propose a session at DCamp.
I hope we will talk about the various technologies such as AJAX, HMTL, Flash, Spakle but focus on what types of user experiences they best support.

[...] Scoble also name-dropped… literally — forgetting to mention Rashmi. Ah well — missed a perfectly good opportunity to give props to, as Tara put it, “the brilliant, young woman who is actually putting this together” (emphasis mine). Hop on the mailing list or wiki if you want to pitch in. As usual, sign up on Upcoming. And — Rashmi’s also look for sponsors and a decent logo (mine’s only a placeholder)!
