Guy Kawasaki sucked up to me. I’m a sucker for a good suckup. But, Guy, be careful about sucking up to me. If you really want to build a good user movement I’d suck up to a bunch of bloggers no one has ever heard about. There’s a reason that works better. It’s more believable (and makes you look better too) and people remember when you notice them when they are not yet discovered. Plus, your readers will see that you’re looking for new bloggers instead of just sucking up to those who have some influence somewhere.
Update: a few people are taking this the wrong way and seeing it as permission to attack me personally. That’s an interesting behavior. Scoble gets egotistical and that makes it OK to get personal. Hmmmm. I think there are a few people who must have forgotten how to type slashdot.org into their browser.
