Cool new feature from Technorati: Favorites. Interesting cause there’s another new site called “Top 10 Sources” which Maryam and I will be on tomorrow (Werner Vogels, Amazon’s CTO is there today). I like the Technorati approach better cause anyone can participate. My favorites are here, although I’m about to leave so haven’t had much chance to fill this in properly. Here are *some* (50) of my favorite blogs/sites. Almost all are webbish / tech-type blogs and sites. Others are adding their favorites too. Now, before you get all disappointed and find yourself not on my favs list (as if you really care!), this is a selection of some 600+ feeds I trawl through. Not everyone can fit in. Think of it as an OPML sampling of what I’m reading. I saw the same type post at Rubel’s Micro Persuasion. I find it kind of funny that both you and Rubel include your own blog as one of your favorites.
Why would you — anyone — need to add your own blog to your list of favorites? Isn’t that assumed?
But, I do understand (and I’d do it too) as it helps in rankings, etc.

Technorati has a new feature that they have appropriately dubbed “Favorites“. Scoble and Boyd seem to be excited about it. I happen to agree with TDavid at Make you Go Hmm. Too bad it is only blogs though and doesn’t include RSS feeds. If you try to add an RSS feed it barks back in red text. Also there is a maximum of 50 blogs. I have a reading list of nearly 400 RSS feeds (perhaps 300 of which are blogs) and I’m supposed to whittle that down to 50? Though I probably should do this, Technorati isn’t about to force my hand.
