    And kudos to MS for literally giving the thing away. The early-December launch tour is a) free and b) gets attendees free copies of VS.Net ’05 AND SQL Server ’05. Lets me hold off on re-upping my MSDN subscription for a few months (I need those pieces immediately, but the backoffice-y stuff later) :)

    Have them downloaded and burned to DVD ready to play with already.

    Lots of things may not be obvious to some people about Team Foundation Server like:
    1 While TFS and VSTE SKUs are both part of VSTS, TFS is not shipping until Q1 2006, and is somewhat independent of VSTE SKUs which are being launched for Nov 7. However there’s a Beta 3 refresh that is compatible with the VS launching now/Nov 7.
    2 You can use TFS with VS Std & Pro, and even alongside VS 2003! You do not need the VSTE SKUs to use the source control, work items, etc. from TFS. See Rob Caron’s fantastic Hitchhiker’s guide to VSTS.
