Microsoft’s fontblog’s Kevin Larsen is reporting on a Clemson University study that shows that Cleartype makes words easier to discern. I know this pretty intimately. I can’t use a computer that doesn’t have Cleartype anymore. I saw a lady yesterday using Windows 2000 on the plane and I just couldn’t believe how bad the type looked on it.
