Another reason to visit Microsoft Silicon Valley…

I’ve been trying to get one of these new Microsoft Wireless Laser Mice now for a while, but they always sell out nearly instantly when the company store up in Redmond gets them. But, the store down here in Silicon Valley doesn’t sell out as fast on some items, I guess, so I bought one.

Wow.

This thing is the first wireless mouse I liked. It is as good as using a wired mouse. It’s smooth, too. Nice job on the hardware team.

Oh, and are you visually impaired? You’ll love this mouse. The magnification feature is awesome, particularly if you’re like me and you run your monitor at the highest resolution it can get to (things can get pretty darn small if you do that).

    Those buttons on the side look to be in an all too easy to click place. Are they hypersensitive?

    I want one of those mice, keep me updated on how that Mouse works, my current Microsoft Wireless Mouse 2.0 seems to lag behind in heavy gaming :(

    Looks Like a cool Mouse. I love my MS Optical wireless mouse. One question. Why no Mac drivers?

    Hm… I just switched back to a good old, simple wired Logitech mousevsince my MS Intellimouse Wireless Explorer (or something like that, who can remember such a name) died afer 3 years of service. In her short life she was an ever-hungry battery-eater:-(

    When are the trackballs getting the same treatment? I like the new look, but it never seems like trackball users are much of a priority. BTW: the new Natural 4000 is not very easy to come by, either (although FWIW, I think the new curving of the keys hurts my wrist more, the Favorites keys are a waste of space, and I’m not too pleased that I went through the time to reprogram my brain to use MS’ new Insert/Page Up layout only to have them change it back)

    What do you mean, same as a wired mouse? I’ve never had problems with the Logitech wireless mouse, and I got that on clearance two years ago. What was the problem?

    Magnification is built into the latest version of Intellipoint. I just downloaded it. So I assume it’s available on many MS mice. It works with MS wireless optical mouse.

    Scoble: being inspired by you I have just purchased Microsoft Laser 6000 mouse (with side buttons and magnifier thingy and with 6000 megapixel/second resolution).

    I think Scoble that you do great marketing job. They really should pay you more than 100,000 $ a year.

    BTW: don’t forget to popularize Windows Mobile - the neglected poor child of Microsoft - and if you need something in Windows Mobile area - just let me know and I will arrange it.
